Spring Break- The Alamo

We really did not know what to do on Friday, because it was supposed to be really rainy. We thought we should do something inside and settled on the children's museum and the Alamo. The grocery store at the museum had real scanners, so Dave and the kids had a contest to see who could spend the most "money". Dave had a good plan, by scooping up all the sun screen, unfortunately they didn't scan and Ty beat him by about $6.
Bryce and Dave building a log cabin.

Paige and Brett went back several times to make and remake this arch.

It was a little cold and drizzly at the Alamo, but we thought it would be good for the kids to learn about and see. We thought about going to the nearby Imax movie about the Alamo, but again we were too cheap to spend the $10+ per ticket. Luckily they had a short film at the Alamo and that along with a tour guide gave us plenty of (free) information.
This well was probably the first thing built at the Alamo. The kids were very patient and although it wasn't there favorite thing, they enjoyed it.
