Today I like...

1. "Brain Age" my brain is younger than me today.

2. Peanut butter Twix, I haven't had one today, but it sounds good.

3. A big glass of ice water, it is very hot today!

Pet peeve of the week

Can I have another pet peeve this week? I hate it when they only put one thing in a bag at the grocery story. I need to remember my reusable bags, because they hold a lot!

Brett quote of the day

"Do you think I am skinny? This way (touching his hips), not this way (touching his stomach and back), this way (touching his hips)."

It's Hot!

It is just too hot to do anything! The kids are annoying each other and me. The boys went to a friends house today which was nice for me, except that "it's not fair" for Paige and Brett who were stuck at home. But they did play nicely for a while. Paige and I caught Brett playing "Boogie" on the Wii. He was singing "Don't cha wish you're girlfriend was hot like me" He was so mad and embarrassed when he saw us. I hope he will let me get some video of him dancing though, because he can really "Boogie"!

Pet peeve of the week

Kids who sigh and roll their eyes when they are asked to do anything! I know unloading the dishwasher is asking alot, but one day you'll thank me.

Brett quote of the day

We met friends at the water park today. As I put sunscreen on Brett, he said, "What are you going to do in the pool besides talk?"

Good question...I did take him down the slide a few times...in addition to the talking :)

Pack, pack in tons of fun, unpack!

We took a THREE WEEK vacation! And we are exhausted. Here is a breakdown of the exciting events:

The first thing we plan is all of our favorite events.
1. Lagoon, amusement park
2. Seven Peaks water park
3. Dad's fishing trip (Bryce went for the first time and loved it!)

But, we also try to fit in some new things.
1. Jump on it!, a big building full of trampolines
2. Living Planet Aquarium
3. I colored my hair for the first time (don't worry if you can't tell)

We enjoyed good health and relative safety except for:
1. Brett got a little stomach virus and was sick for a day.
2. Paige fell off a scooter and scraped up her knee.
3. Bryce fell while on roller blades and skinned an elbow.

There were also many things we wanted to do,but ran out of time.
1. Dave wanted to launch his model rockets.
2. We wanted to have a picnic with Lisa's cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.
3. We didn't make it to the BYU bookstore, or anywhere on campus.

During all our fun the kids still had time to entertain themselves by:
1. Going around the block on bikes, scooters, etc. at grandma's
2. Making movies
3. Collecting berries to make "Indian Paint"

There were sleepovers at:
1. Grandma's
2. Aunt Pam's
3. Aunt Amy's

We did some fun Hiking at:
1. Grand Canyon, with Uncle Wayne and Aunt Mckenzye.
2. Bryce Canyon
3. Cascade Springs

We saw a few movies:
1. Nim's Island
2. Kit Kitridge
3. The Dark Knight

We enjoyed visiting many friends, but missed a few we had hoped to see.
1. Debbie
2. Burk
3. Sheri

We had birthday parties,
1. Cousin Jacob at the playground
2. Ty at the Nickle Arcade
3. I spent my "birthday money"

We had fun everday by doing things like:
1. Black light mini golf and bowling
2. Rock climbing at the Quarry (Paige was great at this!)
3. Fishing at the Trout farm

Mom and Dad even got to do somethings they wanted
1. Mountain Biking (Dave)
2. Scrapbook shopping (Lisa)
3. Temple

The faithful mini van got us there and back and only a few warning lights:
1. Low windshield washer fluid (filled up)
2. Low tire pressure (put air in the tires, the light is still on)
3. Maintenence required (meaning we need an oil change, light is still on)

Did I leave anything out? Oh yeah!
1. We went to the zoo
2. We saw fireworks and did sparklers
3. We played at several parks

Can you believe that none of the kids wanted to come home!

Brett quote of the day

"Why do we have to leave? We have only been here for 3 weeks!"

We are home! More about the vacation later.
