Warning: Bragging to follow...

For grandmas...all others may scroll past my bragging (I don't want you to be jealous of my awesome kids!) End of year awards ceremonies brought lots of certificates and awards to our kids. It is nice to see their excitement at being recognized for their achievements.

Ty received the Bronco award for being a good student and good example to his classmates. He also received awards for his superior rating on a band ensemble and for making the district honor band.

Bryce received the outstanding band member award for 8th grade band, a quiz bowl award (he was captain of the winning team!), A superior rating on his band solo, a reading award, an award for his LEAP test scores, and the President's Award for Educational Excellence.

Paige's teacher did classroom awards where she received the "Little Miss Talkative" award along with awards for maintaining a 4.0 in reading, science, social studies, spelling, math and language and an award for good conduct. At the 5th grade awards program she got awards for Banner Roll (all A's all year) and 3rd place in the science fair. She also received the President's award for educational excellence.
Brett received awards for Class Spelling Bee Champion, Banner Roll all year and Citizen of the Year!

End of year activities-Bryce and Ty

The boys finished up a great year in band with their spring concert. We enjoy hearing how much they have improved. Bryce is looking forward to marching band in high school and Ty is really excited to be first chair saxophone in symphonic band next year.

Ty and his friends earned lots of awards and were all great examples to their classmates!

Bryce enjoyed his last day of middle school with lots of games and fun. They played lots of carnival games and ate lots of cotton candy. Bryce won a prize at "simon says" and a drawing for a disposable camera.

End of year activities-Paige and Brett

The end of the school year brings lots of fun activities and busy days. Paige and Brett enjoyed a hot and competitive field day. Lots of games and races ending up with everyone getting wet!
Paige's last week of elementary school was full of fun, including dress up days like hawaiian, pajamas and 80's days.

They rounded out the week with the AR carnival where those who met their reading goals for the year, got to play and eat. There were lots of games including the popular "dunk the principal" along with cotton candy, snowcones and popcorn.

As I helped out with a sling shot game I kept catching glimpses of Brett always with a different snack!

Bryce's random fact of the day

We play a lot of games at our house. While playing "Word Pirates" last night, Paige was looking at a list of acceptable two letter words from a puzzle book. The first word was "AA". She said, "That's not a word." Bryce said, "Yes it is, it is a type of Lava."
