Double Digits
Paige is 10! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She had a few friends spend the night and they had a lot of fun!. They played a prank on her brothers..."Wild" Band Concert
The boys had their spring concert recently. They have both really enjoyed band this year. Ty says it is the best thing about middle school. Highlights of the concerts included Bryce and the 7th grade band playing "Sponge Bob Squarepants" and Ty's 6th grade band playing "Born to be Wild." They both tried out for Symphonic Band last week and will soon find out if they made it.Friday, May 15, 2009

Brett quote of the day
Brett was watching over my shoulder at the computer and saw a facebook quiz about "Star Wars". He wanted me to take the quiz to find out which character I "am". The result was "YODA" with a sentence that said something like"When 900 years old you are, look so good you will not." Brett said, "Yoda is 900 years old? He is pretty small for that age."

Brett quote of the day
"My tastebuds are changing alot!"
What's that about? I have no idea! But, it made me laugh!

Busy!
We have been busy lately. Here is a sampling of recent activities...
Lot of Carmel apples made for our Teacher Appreciation Dinner at church and then the kids helped make these for the boys school teachers.
Brett gave a talk at the teacher appreciation program. He was so cute and I am so glad he is willing to do things like that, but he did read way too fast and noone could understand him:)
Bryce's quiz bowl team won third place in their tournament. Bryce was quite disappointed when he was sitting out during a question about what state the mormon pioneers traveled to and not one other kid on either team knew!
Dave is now elders quorum president and I am now 1st coun. in young women and cub committee chairman.

Paige and Brett had field trips on the same day. Paige went to a state park for hiking and nature activities. Brett went to the mardi gras museum, a bank, Texas Road House for lunch and a park. Bryce also had a recent field trip to a medical/health museum.
Dave is now elders quorum president and I am now 1st coun. in young women and cub committee chairman.I got through yet another pinewood derby and we didn't even have to make a car this year.
Dentist, orthodontist and audiology appointments.
Dave went with Bryce and Ty on their band trip to a water park. While Paige, Brett and I went to the ward bbq and talent show. Where Brett read again, not quite so fast, but not very loud. I can't believe he volunteers for things like that, because he is pretty shy and none of the other kids would even consider it!
With school winding down the calendar is only getting fuller! Concerts, awards programs, and field day among the things to come.
